Serialized products are items that require tracking by unique Serial Numbers.

Creating a serialized product follows the same process as creating a regular product, with one additional step.

Steps to Create a Serialized Product

1. From the Dashboard, go to Products.
2. Click Add New Product.
3. Fill in the required fields (Product Name, Code, Description, etc.).
4. In the Inventory Type field, select Serialized Product. ✅ (This is the only difference from creating a regular product.)
5. Complete the remaining fields as needed (Supplier, Pricing, etc.).
6. Click Save.

Product Profile — Serials Tab

Once a serialized product is created, an additional Serials tab will appear in the product profile.

• Serial Number – The unique identifier assigned to the seriliazed item.

  ⚠️ Each Serial Number = 1 Quantity.

  🖱️ Clicking the serial number will open the Serial Transaction Modal, which shows the full transaction history linked to that serial number (e.g., Receivings, Releasings, Adjustments, Transfers).

  

• Location – Shows where the serialized item is stored.

• On Hand? – Indicates if the serialized item is currently available (✓ for available, ✗ for unavailable).

• Last Updated – The most recent date/time when details of the serialized item were modified.

• Creation Date – The date when the serialized item was first created in the system.

Transactions for Serialized Products

Once created, serialized products can be managed through different transactions.

1. Product Actions (from Product Profile)

In the serialized product profile, you will see the following action buttons under Inventory Locations:

• Add → Increases stock quantity. You will need to enter unique Serial Numbers, then select a location.
• Subtract → Decreases stock quantity. Select the Serial Numbers and location to subtract from.
